High Rankin - Best of 2011 Mix

Here is High Rankin’s best of 2011 mix featuring tracks of his own, Skrillex, Knife Party, Mojo, Document One, Nero, Skism, Flux Pavilion and Feed Me. Some might not be exactly from 2011 but if you have a problem with that then please don’t hesitate to go eat a whole bag of frozen dicks” couldn’t have put it better myself! Enjoy the mix below and be sure to cop your free download.

Flux Pavilion Nominated For MTVU 2012 Woodie Award

Flux Pavilion’s huge tune ‘I Can’t Stop’ has just been nominated for the MTVU 2012 Woodie Award. The song ‘I Can’t Stop’ helped Jay Z and Kanye West’s  ‘Who Gon Stop Me’ one of the stand out tracks on their album ‘Watch the Throne’. Flux Pavilion has been nominated alongside other stars such as Calvin Harris (feat. Rihanna) for We Found Love, Benni Benassi (feat. Chris Brown) for Beautiful People, Avicil (feat. Flo Rida) for Good Feeling, Martin Solveig (feat. Kele) for Ready 2 Go and Steve Aoki & Laidback Luke (feat. Lil Jon) for Turbulence. In my opinion...vote for Flux Pavilion!

Skrillex Takeover At The Grammy's

Skrillex has pulled off a big win for dubstep at the Grammy’s by taking home 3 Grammy awards. He won the awards for Best Dance Recording, Best Dance/Electronica Album and Best Remixed Recording, Non Classical.
Skrillex also gave a message to all the up n coming DJ’s and producers saying “If I can win grammys then that means all you yet to be seen bedroom geniuses will one day TAKEOVER THE WORLD (sic)”
It wasn’t all good news for Skrillex tho who got pranked by Deadmau5 when he wore a black shirt with the words “U mad bro?” written on the shirt along with a number written above it...which turned out to be Skrillex’s personal number.
Skrillex laughed it off turning to twitter writing “haha @deadmau5 just wore my phone number on his fokin shirt on tv gotta retire this phone”
But it seems Skrillex tried to prank Deadmau5 back by rerouting the calls back to him.
“Nice try with the call forwarding @skrillex ;) one step ahead of you! Ps. Congrats dude! Seriously So rad!”
Deadmau5’s night wasn’t a complete loss, even tho he didn’t win a Grammy he got to hang out with Dave Grohl latter on tweeting “No Grammys for me. Oh well, I get to hang out with Dave Grohl, and thats pretty rad”
If your interested to find out what it’s like for Deadmau5 to wear his signature mouse helmet then click here.

Feed Me's Escape From Electronic Mountain

If you don’t know about Feed Me then you’ve been living under a rock! His real name is Jon Gooch but is more commonly known by his stage names Spor and Feed Me. Feed Me is a blast of electro/dubstep mayhem that DeadMau5 liked so much he signed him to his label Mau5trap. Feed me released “Feed Me’s Big Adventure” which was rather successful and followed up with the equally successful “To The Stars”. Now he has released “Feed Me's Escape From Electronic Mountain” Which in my opinion is one of his best sounding EP’s yet! It is available on Beatport now. Check out Feed Me's Escape From Electronic Mountain below!

My Top 5 Tracks ATM

Here are some tunes that I am playing repeatedly! One is from one of the big names in dubstep who you all would know very well by the name of FuntCase. The other is pretty much one of my favourite female DJ’s (I do like other female DJ’s but this one is by far the best) Kito with her Noisia Split The Atom Remix. Another song I’ve been constantly playing is by a new up n coming talent by the name of BadKlaat with his tune Freq Skank which is due out on his new EP and is released on Bass Clash. Trolley Snatcha will be releasing his new Subtext EP and one song I can’t get enough of from his new EP is “Make My Whole World” it’s got a great feel to it which I can see being thrashed in the clubs. The last one is an absolute mentalcase! Feed Me & Gemini – Whiskers from his newest EP Escape From Electronic Mountain, which is available off Beatport now. I hope you enjoy these tunes as much as i do!
