Knife Party - Rage Valley EP Review

FINALLY! Knife Party’s “Rage Valley EP” is finally ours! That’s right, released today after much anticipation and let me tell you I can't get enough of this EP! I've been raging out to all the tracks which makes you want to throw cats over buildings (Inside Dubstep does not endorse throwing cats over buildings...). To put it more clearly, ever since “100% No Modern Talking” came out we’ve wanted more from this dynamic duo. They burst onto the scene with the first EP which has been regarded as one of the biggest dubstep EP's of the year.

The first track "Rage Valley" has more of an electro feel to it that differs from their last EP but we can still see similarities to their other work. A great track to open the EP with that is certain to destroy festivals and clubs around the world.

"Centipede" the second track starts off with an intro similar to Pendulums track Tarantula which includes the same voice, although it's based around a centipede killing a tarantula. Here's what the voice says before the drop Giant tropical centipedes share their territories with tarantulas. Despite it’s impressive length, it’s a nimbo navigator, and some can be highly venomous. As quick as lightning, just like the tarantula it’s killing, the centipede has two curved hollow fangs which inject paralyzing venom. Even tarantulas aren’t immune from an ambush.
This centipede is a predator…”
Check out the video below which features it. This track is dubbed up enough to make your face melt. It has all the high pitched sounds that Knife Party and many others have become so well at producing with.

The third track "Bonfire" starts off with a reggae vibe to it but then explodes into a massive amount of bass and filth! This track is one of my standout's of the EP and draws similarities to Skrillex and Rusko. Recommended party starter.

The final track "Sleaze" featuring Mistajam has had a few harsh reviews which I feel are inappropriate. People haven’t been warming to the direction Knife Party took this track but the track has a very upbeat festival sound to it with lyrics the crowd can get involved with.

So if you’re a diehard Knife Party fan you’re going to love this and if you’re not a Knife Party fan yet this will be the EP to change your mind about them as this EP is more varied in its genres. It's hard to say if Rage Valley will be as successful as their first EP 100% No Modern Talking, only time will tell.
