Villa...the club I’m not so familiar with. Last time we were here was for ministry of sound and we enjoyed ourselves until the end of the night when we had to come to the rescue of a friend. This time me and the girlfriend are eager to make this night even better (seeing as it is her birthday that week) and I’m sure we will when you’ve got 16bit, Emalkay, Gemini and Inspector Dubplate! 16bit now exclusively signed to Chase and Status's MTA records alongside label partners Nero, are sure to have the speakers wobbling. Emalkay from his early days of grime and garage to 2011 is sure to drop some songs from the debut album ‘Eclipse’. 20 year old Gemini 'Thomas Slinger' has made his mark on the dubstep scene with his debut EP 'Blue', Gemini will have you at a new level. Inspector dubplate really sets the tone for what it means to be involved within the dubstep scene. From his filth Friday mix tapes to many youtube mixtapes inspector dubplate is taking over the online world. All of this achieved in just over a year. So I think it’s time to give you a preview of what’s install!

Dubstep is a rapidly growing genre although it has been around since 1998 and was darker and more experimental back then.A very early supporter of the sound was BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel,, who started playing it from 2003 onwards.In 2004, his listeners voted Distance, Digital Mystikz and Plastician in their top 50 for the year. Dubstep started to spread beyond small local scenes in late 2005 and early 2006, influenced by Nero, Excision, Datsik, Plastician, Rusko, Flux Pavillion, Skrillex, Downlink, 12th Planet, Borgore, Benga, Doctor P, Caspa, Magnetic Man, Joker, Emalkay, 16Bit, Skream,Chase & Status, I would keep going but there is no need to, you all know who the others are and how fast it's growing.So much that it's growing is that perth clubs and festivals are featuring more dubstep DJ's in there lineups.
